PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The coinage dated Lucca begins in 1543. It is in the name of Charles V (1506-1555), emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. On the reverse side, we have a representation of Christ. Lucca city of Tuscany in Italy was a flourishing city, which between the XI and XV century was a large economic center based on the silk trade. In 1799, the Republic of Lucca ended with the arrival of Bonaparte and the Italian campaign.

Lucca, a city in Tuscany, Italy, was one of the rivals of Florence. From the 11th to the 15th century it was a great commercial center whose wealth was based on the silk industry. The republic disappeared with the arrival of Bonaparte in Italy in 1799.
