Translation: "Lucius Appuleius Saturninus".

Description: Saturn in a quadriga galloping to the right, holding a harp in his right hand and the reins in his left; letter C to the right of the quadriga. 


HISTORY :

The Appuleii, sometimes Apuleii, were members of a plebeian family, which flourished from the fifth century BC until the imperial period. The first member to achieve prominence was Lucius Appuleius, tribune of the plebs in 391 BC.
