Coin on an oval blank well centered on both sides. Very nice head of Apollo. Nice reverse in fine style. Very nice patina with golden reflections.

Description: Rider galloping to the right, brandishing a javelin with his right hand; behind the rider, control mark .


HISTORY :

The consuls of 82 BC were Caius Marius and Cnæus Papirius Carbo. Sylla is said to have rallied former supporters of Marius to his cause such as Lucius Marcius Censorinus, Caius Mamilius Limetanus and Publius Crepusius.
