PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Seymour Unicorn 1 Ounce Platinum is the fourth coin in the Royal Mint's Royal Tudor Beasts collection, which comprises ten 'Beasts', the statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court.
The entire series will consist of 10 coins depicting animal images: the Lion of England, the Bull of Clarence, the Tudor Dragon, the Richmond Greyhound, the Royal Dragon, the Beaufort Yale, the Seymour Unicorn, the Queen's Panther, the Queen's Lion and the Seymour Panther.
The coin also commemorates the marriage of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour and provides an insight into the history of Great Britain.
The Royal Tudor Beasts 1 Ounce Platinum Seymour Unicorn coin contains exactly 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams) of 999.5 pure platinum. The coin will be in production for a few months until the next coin in the series is released, so collectors should buy it as soon as possible if they want to get all the coins in the series.
OBVERSE :
The obverse of the coin features the official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Martin Jennings.
REVERSE :
Designed by David Lawrence, the reverse of the coin depicts the unicorn of Jane Seymour's household, with an animated chainmail background texture offering additional security.
