HISTORY :
History:It was Centulle III the Younger, viscount (1012-1058), who received the sovereignty of the country from the duke of Aquitaine Sanche the Great and usurped the right to coin money. In reality, coinage did not begin until 1080 under Centulle IV (1058-1088) who took the name of count (for Bigorre and Oloron). Centulle V died in 1134.
