PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This coin was minted in the first year of the personal reign of Isabel II of Spain, after the successive regencies of her mother and the General of Espareto between 1833 and 1843.

HISTORY :
Isabella II was the daughter of Ferdinand IV and his wife Maria Christine. Her reign was proclaimed upon the death of her father. The young sovereign, then three years old, was unable to reign in her own name. Her mother and General d'Esperanto reigned successively as regents, while the civil war raged. She was proclaimed of age in 1843 at the dawn of her thirteenth year, and began her personal reign which she carried out until 1868.
