Crawford found an estimate of 597 right-hand coins and 663 reverse coins, giving an estimate of between one and two million originally minted denarii.

Translation: "Decimus Junius Silanus Lucii Filius" or "Decimus Junius Silanus son of Lucius".

HISTORY :
The Junii were members of one of the most famous families in Rome. Perhaps of patrician origin, the family was already prominent in the last days of the Roman monarchy. Lucius Junius Brutus was the nephew of Lucius Tarquinius Superbus, the seventh and last king of Rome, and following the expulsion of Tarquin in 509 BC, he became one of the first consuls of the Roman Republic.
