Translation: "Iulia Augusta" or "Julie augusta".

Legend: MATER DEVM
Translation: "Mater Deum" or "the Mother of Gods".
Description: Cybele, draped, seated on the left between two lions, holding a branch with her right hand and her left elbow resting on the tympanum.
HISTORY :
Julia Domna was born in the city of Emesa in Syria and was the daughter of the high priest of Baal. She married Septimius Severus around 180 AD and had two sons: Caracalla and Feta. She was proclaimed Augusta in 194. After the death of Septimius Severus, she received many honours as "Mother of the Senate", "Mother of the Fatherland" or even the titles of Pia Felix, i.e. Pious and Happy. After the death of her son Caracalla, she was exiled and died soon after.
