Description: Quarterly shield with five quarters: the first quarter is the shield of the Papal States, the second quarter is the shield of Milan, the third quarter is the shield of Venice, the fourth quarter is the shield of Liguria and the fifth quarter is the shield of Savoy-Sardinia. On top of the shield, there is a shield of Italy with the arms of the Iron Crown surrounded by the collar of the Legion of Honour supported by an eagle on a thunderbolt topped with a star, all on a crowned mantle with two halberds.
