The half-sovereign piece is a model of a British coin bearing the effigy of the monarchs who have marked the history of England, namely George III, George IV, William III, Queen Victoria, Edward VII, Georges V and finally Georges VI.
The half-sovereign equals 10 shillings. Its rating varies depending on the quality but also the year it was manufactured.
From 1887 to 1893, the coin paid tribute to Queen Victoria's 50th anniversary.
