PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Charles I de Bourbon is a prince of the House of Bourbon. In 1585, he was imposed by the Catholic League on King Henri III as heir to the French crown, at the expense of his Protestant nephew Henri IV. In 1590, he was proclaimed by the Parliament of Paris as the legitimate king under the name of Charles X, although he died a few weeks later.
In parts of the kingdom under the influence of the Catholic League, coins were minted in Charles X's name, and copper and silver coins were produced.
