PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This 5 oz King Tut silver coin, issued by the Scottsdale Mint in partnership with the Republic of Chad, is part of the Egyptian Relics series. Its rough finish appearance gives it the appearance of having been used for thousands of years.
King Tut, also known as Tutankhamun, came to power as a teenager, as the 12th pharaoh of the 18th Egyptian dynasty in the 3rd century BC. Fairly unknown, he was able to reverse his father's changes and resort to traditional Egyptian values.
His tomb was discovered by a British Egyptologist in 1922. Its particularity? His coffin was solid gold!
