PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Silver Canadian Maple Leafs are renowned the world over as silver bullion coins for their 99.99% silver purity.
The government of Canada guarantees the purity, weight, and legal tender value of each Canadian Maple Leaf bullion coin.
The traditional bullion finish on previous Silver Maple Leaf coins will be replaced with radial lines which emanate from the center of the coin. These lines have been precisely machined within microns on the master tooling to ensure consistent die production and coin striking. The specific width and pitch of the lines create a light diffracting pattern which is unique the "next generation" Silver Maple Leaf and unmatched by other bullion products.
VARIABLE YEARS / EFFIGIES
The years and/or effigies of these coins are sent randomly depending on our stocks.
As these are bullion coins and not collector coins, their years or effigies have no impact on their value or resale price.
OBVERSE :
The Silver Maple Leaf coin carries the same obverse (front) and reverse (back) designs as the gold Maple Leaf. The obverse features a bust of Queen Elizabeth II, whose design changed in 1990 to feature a mature portrait of the Queen. In both versions, her name ('ELIZABETH II') appears at top and the denomination of the coin and the date of issue rest underneath the bust.
REVERSE :
The coin's reverse depicts a Maple Leaf, the national symbol of Canada and from which the coin derives its name. The reverse also lists the name of the country and the amount and purity of the silver.
A micro-engraved security mark has also been added to the reverse of the coin. A textured maple leaf incorporates the numeral "14" to denote the coin's year of issue and represents the cutting edge in bullion coin security.
