PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Mexican National Mint, La Casa de Moneda de Mexico, produced the 2 peso gold coins in the early 1945s. Indeed, the 2 Peso coin was issued between 1919 and 1920 (1,670,000 pieces) and then between 1945 and 1948. However, between 1951 and 1972, 4,590,493 coins were reissued as 1945. It is 13 mm in diameter, weighs 1.66 grams and contains 900‰ gold.
On the tailside the inscription "dos pesos" is surmounted by the year of issue. On the obverse side is an eagle on a cactus, striking down a snake. The legend Estados Unidos Mexicanos means "United States of Mexico".
The value of the 2 Pesos Gold coin is calculated according to the gold price, which is the indicative intrinsic value according to the weight of the gold, without taking into account the quality, supply and demand and the possible rarity of the gold.
