PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Austrian 4 Ducats are produced in high purity .986-fine Gold, making them among the highest purity gold coins ever issued for circulation. Designed in the likeness of medieval gold coinage, Austria 4 Ducats are relatively thin—only 0.7 mm thick.
Austria discontinued regular-issue Ducats in 1914. Indeed, 4 Ducats dated 1915 are restrikes, and from 1920 – 1936, 496,501 of the gold coins were produced.
