PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

First issued in 1995, the Australian Lunar coin series celebrates the animals of the Chinese calendar (zodiac) with a series of 12 designs featuring the mouse, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig each year.

The 2022 Tiger coin features the feline, which is said to confer determination, courage, confidence and charm on those born under its influence in 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010 and 2022.

 

 

OBVERSE :

The coin depicts a fearless tiger standing on a rock, jaws open showing razor-sharp canines.

The design includes the inscription 'TIGER 2022', the Chinese character for 'tiger' and the Perth Mint mint mark 'P'.

REVERSE :

The reverse of the coin features the bust of Queen Elizabeth II in profile, the weight and fineness of the coin and its denomination.
