PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Pharaoh Ramesses II coin issued by the Scottsdale Mint in partnership with the Republic of Chad is the last coin in the "Egyptian Relics" series.
Ramesses II, born around 1303 BC, was appointed Prince Regent at the age of 14 by his father, Seti I. Less than 10 years later, Ramesses II designated Pharaoh, ascended the throne. His reign lasted nearly 70 years, until his death at the age of 91!
His qualities as a warrior and conqueror helped shape much of Egyptian culture.

OBVERSE :
The obverse depicts the portrait of Rameses II, as he is often depicted in ancient hieroglyphs and statues.
The irregular cracks that can be seen on the coin reproduce the appearance of the original state of the hieroglyph.
REVERSE :
On the reverse, the inscriptions "Republique Du Tchad" in french, 2 Troy Oz, 1000 Francs CFA and .999 Fine Silver" surround the coin. In the centre is the coat of arms of the Republic of Chad and just below it is the year of issue.
