Expert analyse
Denier well come to strike, rare currency (less than 1000 copies). Very beautiful details.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The argenteus is a silver coin created following the monetary reform of Diocletian around 294, who wanted to put silver coins back into circulation.
This reform was a failure, as the argenteus circulated very little and was widely hoarded. It was not until Silicus under the Byzantines that silver coins were used again.
